When using a silkscreen, you’ll separate the trichomes from the rest of the plant material by rubbing the dried plant into the screen. Once you’ve transformed the trichomes into a pile of high-quality kief, you can heat them and press them into snakes, spheres, or blocks.

b). Solvent-Based Methods

Unlike solventless methods, these techniques require you to use solvents. You can think of these methods as the more modern way of doing things. You’ll use carbon dioxide, butane, or propane to extract the terpenes and cannabinoids from the trichomes.

• A container
• A coffee filter
• Ice water
• Trimmed cannabis
• A very large bottle
• A sieve

Steps to Follow

1. Place your cannabis material into a glass container that has ice and water. Shake it for about three to four minutes.
2. Leave it to rest for 20 minutes. Then, remove the plant matter left behind.
3. Wait till you see the sediment at the bottom of the container. This is the bubble hash.
4. Pour about 2/3 of the water from the container into the extra-large bottle. Ensure that you pour slowly to avoid mixing the hash with the rest of the water.
